NZLED® Facelift Shows Office Complex's Better Side
Independence Tower is a 12-story office building on the Southeastern cusp of downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. Like so many businesses these days, the property managers of Independence Tower were interested in reducing their lighting bill with modern energy efficient lighting options. NetZero USA® provided a turnkey LED lighting retrofit using proprietary NZLED® products at Independence Tower that saw both interior and exterior lighting upgraded for efficiency.
Inside the building NetZero USA® retrofitted 4-bulb T8 light fixtures with a 30-watt LED retrofits, and 2-bulb T8 light fixtures with a 20-watt LED solution. The result was better, more natural light that uses much less energy and requires virtually no maintenance.
Independence Tower also underwent lighting upgrades on the exterior of the building. NetZero USA® retrofitted spotlights from 9,000-watts down to just 2,000-watts, and walkway lighting from 400-watts down to 80-watts using LED replacements.
Overall, this project will deliver more than 68% reduction in energy usage from lighting, and a cumulative 10 year savings of over $400,000 dollars!
