Small Business Reels In Savings With LED Upgrades
In today’s industrial and commercial business environment, the cost to create and deliver energy has caused power prices to rise at an unprecedented rate, and has become a major factor in decreasing a business’s profit margins. The effect is being felt across all types of businesses, from retail to manufacturing, to both large and small businesses. Certified Paper is a Charlotte, North Carolina-based business that was beginning to feel the squeeze of rising power costs. Net Zero USA completed a LED lighting retrofit for Certified Paper which resulted in financial savings via lower lighting costs plus better, more natural light levels.
All of Certified Paper’s light fixtures were upgraded from outdated fluorescent T12 technology using Net Zero USA’s LED Retrofit Kits. 4-foot 4-bulb T12 fixtures were improved from 160-watts to just 40-watts, and 8-foot 2-bulb fixtures were improved from 150-watts to just 60-watts thanks to LED lighting technology.
As a result, Certified Paper is seeing over 70% energy savings in their lighting, and better illumination throughout their facility. Thanks to Net Zero USA’s LED lighting retrofit, Certified Paper will save over $1,700 dollars in their first year, and nearly $10,000 dollars of cumulative savings over 5 years.
Owner Scott Gorelick was so impressed that he is telling everyone about Net Zero USA.
Net Zero USA offered me a decision that was a no-brainer. I am improving the lighting in my business and the savings created from the newer, more energy efficient LED lighting is paying for the entire project. Best of all, my local utility Duke-Progress is paying me nearly $2,000 dollars to do this project! Scott Gorelick, Owner, Certified Paper
